Jeera Samba Rice has a distinct taste, fluffs up nicely when cooked, and south Indian biriyani is made with this rice, also known as Jeeraga samba, which is very aromatic rice. The grain of the rice is very tiny, and it gets its name for its resemblance to Cumin seeds, also called Seeragam/Jeera in Tamil.
